Graduated Winthrop College 1983, Bachelor of Arts in Communications & Minor in Political Science. Worked at The Beaufort Gazette & The Island Packet in various Circulation Department management positions. Retired in 2011. Now writing novels, short stories, and screenplays with Cyndi Williams-Barnier (BHS classmate 1979), under the business name J&C Wordsmiths LLC.
In 2017 we formed YBR Publishing as a new local brand for publishing other authors' manuscripts in addition to our own. In January 2019 YBR Publishing became its own LLC, replacing J&C Wordsmiths.
As of May 2019, YBR has published five authors from across the Lowcountry, with two more authors to be published this summer and another two whose books are in editing.

I Walked In Santa's Boots (solo author)- my autobiography of my years as Santa Claus for the city of Beaufort and upper Beaufort County for a quarter century. Entered into the Beaufort County Library Historic District Collection as a major book about Beaufort’s history.
